I finally got a response from U of A...They are recommending me for acceptance into the program, dependent upon approval from the Graduate College.
Wow.
Everyone I've spoken to says that it's just a formality, that the graduate college just needs to rubberstamp my application since it's the department that has already accepted me, but I'll wait until I get official word. I don't want what happened last time to repeat itself, where I got an acceptance letter from the university followed by a rejection letter from the department. In the meantime, I'll just knit and wait.
